The Horse celebrates one of art's most enduring and captivating subjects.
We’re looking for original artwork inspired by horses in all their forms — from powerful working horses and elegant thoroughbreds to native ponies, wild horses, much-loved companions and horses simply captured at rest.
Your work might focus on movement and strength, the relationship between horse and human, the character of an individual animal or the beauty of the horse itself.
We welcome different styles and interpretations, from detailed realism and traditional equine painting to expressive, contemporary and more abstract work.
For this Statement exhibition, we're looking for work with presence — artwork that captures something of the extraordinary character and spirit of the horse.

Selling price: £300 per artwork
Number of artworks: 4 if selected
Application fee: Free
Exhibition fee: £50 if selected

Exhibition fee due: By 7 September 2027 to secure your place
Selected artists submit four artworks by: 7 October 2027
Live marketing training: 21 October 2027 at 7 pm

Applying is easy
You don't need to have all four exhibition artworks ready to apply.
Simply send us one good-quality photograph of an example of your work that represents the style and quality of the artwork you'd like to exhibit.
There's nothing to pay when you apply.
If you're selected, we'll invite you to pay the £50 exhibition fee and submit photographs and details of your four artworks.
You keep your original artwork with you until it sells.
