Art inspired by the magic of Scotland

Heather Ogilvie - Artist

Heather is an artist based in Scotland, creating original paintings inspired by birds, flowers, wildlife, and the ever-changing skies, seas and mountains. Working primarily in acrylics, she draws inspiration from nature, atmosphere, colour and the remarkable beauty of our planet.

Alongside her original paintings and fine art prints, Heather creates vibrant photo-digital artwork celebrating Scotland's iconic landscapes, wildlife and landmarks. These contemporary designs are available on a range of print-on-demand gifts, bringing a colourful interpretation of Scotland into homes around the world.

Heather also runs relaxed and welcoming Paint 'n' Sip events, guiding complete beginners and experienced painters alike through the process of creating their own artwork in a fun, supportive environment.

Away from the studio, Heather is an experienced business strategist and executive educator. Through practical business training, she helps artists, creatives and other professionals develop the confidence, commercial understanding and skills to turn their ambitions into sustainable success.

Paint ‘n’ Sip Parties

Paint 'n' Sip parties are relaxed, step-by-step painting experiences where Heather guides everyone through creating a beautiful acrylic painting from start to finish. Each session lasts around two and a half hours, with every stage demonstrated and explained before moving on together, so nobody gets left behind.

No previous painting experience is needed; complete beginners are always welcome, and it’s great fun for more experienced painters too. If you paint more quickly, there's plenty of time to relax, chat and enjoy a drink while others catch up. If you prefer to take your time, there's never any pressure. These aren't formal art classes; they're fun, social evenings where everyone can enjoy the creative process and leave with a painting they're proud to hang on the wall.
