Art Happy gives independent UK artists a simple, affordable way to exhibit and sell original work online.
Apply to our curated exhibitions for free.
If we select your work, you pay £50 to take part and enter four artworks.
When your artwork sells, you receive 60% of the selling price.
And because getting art seen takes all of us, you can also earn 10% when your marketing generates a qualifying sale, even when the collector buys another artist's work.
Your marketing link stays active for as long as you remain an Art Happy affiliate, so you can keep earning by promoting future Art Happy exhibitions, even when you're not exhibiting yourself.
How it works

Choose an exhibition
Each Art Happy exhibition has its own theme, dates, artwork format and selling price.
Take a look at what's coming up and choose the exhibitions that suit your work.

Apply for free
Send us one good-quality photograph of an example of your work that represents the style and quality of the artwork you'd like to exhibit.
There's no fee to apply.

Get selected
We'll review the applications and select the artists whose work will come together to create a great exhibition.
We'll let you know if you've been selected.

Submit your four artworks
If selected, pay the £50 exhibition fee by the stated deadline to secure your place, then send us a good-quality photograph and details for each of your four artworks by the submission deadline.
You keep the original artwork with you until it sells.

We create your listings
We'll turn your photographs into polished exhibition listings, creating a room mock-up and short video for each artwork.
You create the art. We'll make it exhibition-ready online.

Get your marketing link
You'll receive your own unique marketing link to share with friends, family, your network and on social media.
Your link stays active for as long as you remain an Art Happy affiliate, earning you 10% on qualifying sales — even when you're not exhibiting.

Your exhibition goes live
Collectors on the Art Happy list get 48-hour early access, followed by the seven-day public exhibition.
Keep sharing your link and help more people discover the exhibition.

Make a sale
When your artwork sells, we'll notify you within 24 hours.
Carefully package it and arrange tracked delivery directly to your collector within three working days.

Send it to its new home
You choose your courier and arrange safe, tracked delivery directly to the collector.
UK delivery to the collector is free and covered by you. We charge for international delivery and pass this on to you.

Get paid
We process payments 21 days after the exhibition closes, subject to completed delivery and any applicable cancellations or returns.
We pay everything due to you from the exhibition in one payment.
Three formats. Three prices.
Each Art Happy exhibition uses one artwork format and one selling price, so you know exactly what size of work is required and what it will sell for before you apply.
Each exhibition will clearly state the required format. All four artworks must match one of the specified dimensions.
Artwork measurements exclude frames. Framing is optional, does not change the selling price and is at your own cost.
If framed, we'll need a clear image of the artwork itself and a second image showing it framed.

Where the money goes
No complicated commission calculations. You'll know what your artwork sells for and what you'll receive before you enter an exhibition.
Every artwork sale is divided:
60% — Artist Payment
Always paid to the artist whose artwork sells.
30% — Art Happy Selling Commission
For presenting, marketing, selling, and administering the artwork and Art Happy exhibitions.
10% — Marketing Payment
Rewards whoever generates the sale. It's paid to the artist or affiliate whose qualifying link generates the sale, or retained by Art Happy when the sale comes through our marketing. The 10% applies to each qualifying artwork sold.

A few things to know

Collectors receive free UK delivery.
You arrange and pay for safe, tracked delivery. You cover the delivery cost from your share of the sale.

We add a standardised international delivery charge at checkout.
The full delivery charge is passed on to you. We don't deduct commission or a marketing payment from it.
Example: £300 Original artwork + £50 international delivery
Collector pays: £350
Your artist payment: £180
Delivery passed to you: £50
Total paid to you: £230
Plus any marketing payment you've earned.

Your artist payment, marketing payments, prize money and international delivery payments are paid together in one payment run, 21 days after the exhibition closes.
If a sale is still being completed due to delivery, cancellation or a return, we'll discuss this with you and agree when the related payment will be made.

Your unique marketing link remains active for as long as you remain an Art Happy affiliate.
You can keep sharing Art Happy exhibitions and earning the 10% marketing payment on qualifying sales — even when you're not exhibiting.

There's no limit to the number of Art Happy exhibitions you can apply for, and it's always free to apply.
Each exhibition is curated separately, so not being selected for one doesn't affect your chances of being selected for another.
