Art Happy is operated by Ogilvie Advisory Ltd, trading as Art Happy.

  • attribute qualifying artwork sales to the artist or affiliate whose marketing generated the sale.

Others are optional and will only be used where permitted by law and, where required, after you have given your consent.

6. Affiliate tracking and GoAffPro

Art Happy uses GoAffPro to operate its affiliate programme and track qualifying referrals and artwork sales.

Participating Art Happy artists and other approved affiliates receive unique marketing links that they can share.

When you visit Art Happy through one of these marketing links, GoAffPro may use cookies to record the referral and enable Art Happy to determine whether a later qualifying artwork purchase should be attributed to that artist or affiliate.

GoAffPro currently identifies three principal cookies used for referral visitors:

  • gfp_v_expires Records the referral/session expiry time

GoAffPro states that these cookies are used for visitors who arrive through affiliate referral links and are not set by GoAffPro for ordinary customers who have not followed an affiliate referral link.

Art Happy's standard referral tracking period is 30 days. A qualifying purchase made within that period may be attributed to the relevant affiliate in accordance with the attribution rules described in our Affiliate Terms.

Where you have consented to the relevant tracking, a qualifying artwork purchase made within 30 days after following an Art Happy affiliate link may therefore be attributed to the relevant artist or affiliate.

The purpose of this tracking is to enable Art Happy to determine whether an artist or affiliate has earned the 10% marketing payment associated with a qualifying artwork sale.

The Art Happy affiliate marketing link itself may remain active for as long as the relevant person remains an approved Art Happy affiliate. The 30-day period relates to an individual visitor referral, not to the lifespan of the affiliate's marketing link.

Declining affiliate tracking does not prevent you from browsing Art Happy or purchasing artwork and does not affect the price you pay.

However, if you do not consent to the relevant tracking, Art Happy may be unable to attribute your eventual purchase to the artist or affiliate whose marketing link you followed.

GoAffPro documents its referral cookies and states that it operates data centres in Germany and the United States.

7. Marketing and advertising technologies

Art Happy may use cookies or similar technologies to understand the effectiveness of its online marketing or to support online advertising.

These may include technologies provided by advertising or social-media platforms if Art Happy uses those services.

Where consent is required, these technologies will not be activated until you have chosen to accept them.

Art Happy may change the particular marketing channels or service providers it uses as the business develops.

Following an Art Happy affiliate link does not mean that you are required to accept affiliate tracking.

Where consent is legally required, the relevant tracking technology will only operate after you have made the appropriate choice.

If you decline affiliate tracking, you can continue to use Art Happy normally.

The price of an artwork is the same whether or not you accept affiliate tracking and whether or not an affiliate receives a marketing payment.

11. Changing your cookie preferences

You can change your choices about non-essential cookies and similar technologies at any time using the cookie preference controls available on the Art Happy website.

Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent.

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Blocking some strictly necessary technologies through your browser may affect the operation of parts of the website, including shopping or checkout functionality.

12. How long cookies last

Different cookies and similar technologies may remain on your device for different periods.

Some are session cookies and expire when you close your browser.

For Art Happy's GoAffPro affiliate programme, Art Happy has chosen a 30-day referral tracking period. GoAffPro allows merchants to configure the duration of affiliate referral tracking within the programme settings. The 30-day referral tracking period does not mean that every cookie or other technology used by the Art Happy website has a 30-day lifespan.

Where it does, we handle that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

GoAffPro states that it operates data centres in Germany and the United States and uses encryption for data in transit and at rest.

The technologies used by Art Happy may change as we develop the website, introduce new functionality or change service providers.

We will periodically review the cookies and similar technologies used on the website.
