The Art Happy Open is our end-of-year exhibition celebrating the variety, creativity and individuality of independent artists.
There is no set subject for this exhibition. We’re looking for original artwork across a wide range of styles and subjects — landscapes, wildlife, portraits, abstract work, florals, seascapes, cityscapes, contemporary work and everything in between.
This is your opportunity to submit the work that you most want people to see.
It might be something new, a piece you're particularly proud of, a subject you return to again and again or simply a painting that feels unmistakably yours.
Bring us your art. We'll bring it together.

Selling price: £300 per artwork
Number of artworks: 4 if selected
Application fee: Free
Exhibition fee: £50 if selected
Applications close: 30 September 2027
Artists notified: By 3 October 2027
Exhibition fee due: By 7 October 2027 to secure your place
Selected artists submit four artworks by: 7 November 2027
Live marketing training: 21 November 2027 at 7 pm
Early Access: 4–5 December 2027
Public Exhibition: 6–12 December 2027

Applying is easy
You don't need to have all four exhibition artworks ready to apply.
Simply send us one good-quality photograph of an example of your work that represents the style and quality of the artwork you'd like to exhibit.
There's nothing to pay when you apply.
If you're selected, we'll invite you to pay the £50 exhibition fee and submit photographs and details of your four artworks.
You keep your original artwork with you until it sells.
