City Life celebrates the streets, buildings, people and moments that give our towns and cities their character.
We’re looking for original artwork inspired by urban life in all its forms — busy streets, quiet corners, architecture, cafés, shopfronts, rooftops, bridges, markets, city lights, reflections, transport and the people who bring these places to life.
Your work might capture somewhere instantly recognisable or simply the atmosphere of being in a city. It could be colourful and energetic, atmospheric and gritty, beautifully detailed, loose and expressive or somewhere in between.
Cities are full of stories. Show us yours.

Applying is easy
You don't need to have all four exhibition artworks ready to apply.
Simply send us one good-quality photograph of an example of your work that represents the style and quality of the artwork you'd like to exhibit.
There's nothing to pay when you apply.
If you're selected, we'll invite you to pay the £50 exhibition fee and submit photographs and details of your four artworks.
You keep your original artwork with you until it sells.
