Light Across the River Tay

£295.00

A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) | Original Acrylic on Canvas | Framed

As evening falls over the River Tay, the last light of the day spreads gently across the water, creating a peaceful display of soft blues, warm peach tones and delicate reflections. A solitary lighthouse stands quietly in the distance, guiding vessels home while serving as a subtle focal point in the vast Scottish landscape.

Inspired by the calm beauty of the River Tay at dusk, Light Across the River Tay captures one of those fleeting moments when the water becomes almost perfectly still, reflecting the colours of the sky like glass. The distant hills, expansive sky and subtle light create a painting filled with peace, balance and atmosphere.

Painted in acrylic on canvas and presented in a simple frame, this original artwork celebrates the timeless beauty of one of Scotland's most iconic waterways. Whether you have a connection to Dundee or Fife, or simply love Scotland's dramatic skies and tranquil waters, this piece brings a sense of calm and elegance to any room.

Commissions

Commission an Original Painting

If you're looking for something truly personal, I'd be delighted to create an original painting especially for you.

Whether it's a much-loved pet, a favourite landscape, wildlife, flowers or a place that holds special memories, every commission is created with care and attention to capture not just the subject, but its character and atmosphere.

The Process

  1. Get in touch to discuss your ideas.

  2. We'll agree on the size, composition and price.

  3. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your booking.

  4. I'll create your painting and share progress updates where appropriate.

  5. The remaining balance is payable before collection or shipping.

As every painting is created by hand, completion times vary depending on size and my current workload. I'll always provide an estimated completion date before work begins.

If you have an idea you'd like to discuss, I'd love to hear from you.
